Faithful Reasoning

A Christian’s Guide to Engaging Controversial Scientific Topics

“Faithful Reasoning” is a guide created as part of a Templeton Religion Trust Grant (TRT-2022-3019) to Elizabeth Lewis Hall. Designed for use as a 1.5-2 hour workshop in Christian churches and classrooms, the leader guide and participant workbook provide the structure to help Christians think through controversial scientific topics. We created this guide based on our psychological, philosophical, and theological research, motivated by our belief that Christians are called to pursue truth in love for God and love for one another. All material is free to use.

Leader Guide

These PowerPoint slides are prepared to make leading the Faithful Reasoning workshop easy. You don’t need to be an expert to lead this workshop! The slides are complete with a presenter script, additional information to support your preparation, and cues for the planned activities outlined in the workbook. Leaders should review the guide and complete the participant workbook on their own in preparation for the event.
